Dear members,
based on our discussion in the policy meeting yesterday and our open dialogue at the chessboard afterwards, we have made adaptions to the proposed code of conduct. Please find attached the revised version.
The key goals of the revisions were a substantial change in tone towards a more supportive and constructive language, and reducing the perceived focus on disciplinary measures. Moreover, we clarified the limits of the authority of the CARE board, namely that it’s purpose is primarily to support conflict resolution, and it’s only supposed to go beyond that in cases where the immediate safety of participants is in danger.
We hope to have addressed the major concerns raised here and at the policy meeting. We hope for you to support our proposal at the AGM.
